Safety First

Question:

I recall reading a rule where it said that on a string of fire that requires only the use of one hand, it was a bad thing to push the safety off with the off hand. I dont remember where I read it, but I'm sure that I did and I cant find it now. Can you help?

Thanks,

Answer:
Hi Tom,

Actually the rule today is just the opposite. Several years ago, it was a penalty for touching the gun with the off hand at any time. Due to safety concerns, the rule has become more lenient in what it allows. Please read rule 10.2.8 of the 2004 USPSA handgun rule book.
